Banana Beach sits on the northern shore of Koh Hey, better known as Coral Island, a short speedboat ride from Chalong Pier. Protected by shallow reef and clear turquoise water, it is one of the calmest and most swimmable spots near Phuket. The beach operates under a sustainability-focused beach club model, limiting visitor numbers to preserve the reef ecosystem and natural environment. Snorkeling directly from shore reveals abundant hard coral and tropical fish. Sun loungers, fresh food, and drinks are available on site. It is a popular half-day trip from Phuket and a good alternative to the busier main beach on the same island. The surrounding reef has been the focus of ongoing coral restoration projects.
