Nai Yang Beach lies within the boundaries of Sirinat National Park in northern Phuket, just a few minutes' drive from the international airport. The beach is long, gently curving, and shaded along much of its length by a canopy of casuarina trees, making it a favourite with locals for picnics and afternoon walks. The water is calm and shallow, ideal for children and confident swimmers, with small coral formations visible from the shore. Several low-key restaurants and beach bars operate under the trees. The park setting means the beach is protected from overdevelopment, giving it a relaxed and uncrowded atmosphere. Nai Yang is a good base for travellers with early or late flights, and several guesthouses and mid-range hotels are situated nearby. Sea turtle nesting has been documented along this stretch of coastline.
