The Sirinat Mangrove Trail runs through a protected area of coastal mangrove forest within Sirinat National Park, near Nai Yang Beach in northern Phuket. The raised wooden boardwalk extends approximately 600 metres through the mangrove ecosystem, passing over tidal channels and through dense stands of rhizophora and avicennia trees whose root systems rise visibly above the water. Interpretive signboards explain the ecological role of mangroves in carbon sequestration, coastal protection, and as nursery habitat for fish and crustaceans. The trail is particularly rewarding at low tide when the mud flats are exposed and feeding birds are active — mudskippers, fiddler crabs, and various heron and egret species are commonly seen. The path is free of charge, shaded for most of its length, and takes around 30 minutes to walk at a leisurely pace. It is suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
